Being an architect is to constantly learn new things. The main objective of the annual ASA Forum is to gather some of the most innovative architects from around the world to give lectures at the Architect Expo. Under the theme ‘Baan-Baan’: Reconsidering Dwelling, the focus of this year’s ASA Forum is on the question of the various conditions of ‘home’ or ‘being at home’. This does not limit our discussion only to the design of houses, but also includes other facilities and future possibilities. This year, the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) is honored to present six architectural practices: Anjalendran Studio (Chelvadurai Anjalendran) from Sri Lanka, Estudio Barozzi Veiga (Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga) from Spain, Shingo Masuda + Katsuhisa Otsubo Architects (Shingo Masuda) from Japan, Studiomake (David Schafer) from Thailand, Studio Schwitalla (Max Schwitalla) from Germany, and UID Architects (Keisuke Maeda) from Japan. The speakers will be presenting a spectrum of ideas and perspectives, based on their different experiences and contexts, providing us with a variety of ways to rethink the living environments of the 21st century.
