พาวิเลียนเวทีหลักเป็นโครงสร้างที่หยิบยืมประโยชน์จากวัสดุไม้ไผ่ที่ราคาไม่แพง สร้างได้เร็ว และมีความยืดหยุ่นสูงและวิธีการจากงานฝีมือชาวบ้านพื้นถิ่นมาใช้สร้างรูปทรงร่วมสมัยที่ขึ้นรูปจากคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อให้เกิดชิ้นงานที่มีทั้งความเป็นระบบระเบียบและความยืดหยุ่นไม่ตายตัวแบบงานพื้นถิ่นในเวลาเดียวกัน

The main stage pavilion pirates materials and methods from vernacular crafts to construct a contemporary, computer-generated form. The canopy celebrates the tension between the ingenious, flexible informality of the everyday and rigid, formal order. Exploiting bamboo with rapid construction, cheap, and flexible qualities, it presents an unsentimental image to counteract the predominant aesthetic of tourist kitsch.
